Founder

Young Sun is a designer and founder of his namesake company, specializing in highly personalized contemporary designs. Known for fostering close collaboration with clients, Young creates one-of-a-kind spaces tailored to each client’s unique vision and needs.

With over a decade of experience, he is dedicated to delivering distinctive yet subtle designs that are deeply reflective of his clients' lifestyles and aspirations.

Young’s passion for design is rooted in his family’s legacy, which spans over 35 years in Los Angeles. His father, an accomplished architect and general contractor, founded Architect Suns, Inc., where Young worked hands-on at construction sites from a young age, gaining a deep understanding of craftsmanship and the building process. His upbringing was further shaped by his mother, a fashion designer, and uncles on both sides of his family, who are architects.

Young honed his artistic skills in fine arts, spending three years focused on drawing and painting before earning a Bachelor of Architecture from the prestigious SCI-Arc in 2016.

His professional journey includes assisting Morphosis, founded by Thom Mayne, the 2005 Pritzker Prize winner, on the publication 100 Buildings, a project interviewing some of the world’s most renowned architects. He also worked at Preliminary Research Office, a design practice founded by graduates of Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, where he contributed to international projects such as a sky bridge linking Norman Foster’s towers at DJI Sky City. Additionally, he worked at Hu Design Studio in Taipei, where he worked on projects ranging from residences to restaurants, another practice led by a Harvard Graduate School of Design alum.
